סיון בסקין נולדה בווילנה, ליטא, ב-1976, ועלתה לישראל ב-1990. שירתה בצה"ל כמדריכת יישומי מחשב. בוגרת תואר ראשון בכלכלה וניהול (הטכניון, 1999). עובדת כמנהלת פרויקטים במערכות מידע פיננסיות. מתגוררת בתל אביב. אם לשניים.
במקביל לעבודתה, בסקין פועלת בתחום הספרות והתרגום.

Sivan Beskin (born in Vilnius, Lithuania, 1976) is a well-known Hebrew poet, author, translator and editor.

Beskin has also translated and published considerable volumes of poetry, short prose and non-fiction and from Russian, English, Lithuanian and Yiddish, and contributed to numerous anthologies, magazines, collections and newspapers, and edited many translations by other translators.
Two musical-theatrical productions were based on Beskin's work:
"The escape of Jonah" – an oratorio by Matti Kovler (2008)
"The Human's Guts Are Pink As Herring" – a musical play created by Nadia Kucher and Anton Kucher.
Beskin is a long-time member of the editorial board of the Hebrew literary magazine "Oh!" and of “The 21st” publishing house, and serves as the chairperson for Oh! Association for Hebrew Literature, which is a non-profit organization.
